Presented by the Treasure Coast Writer's Guild. Every Tuesday, year round, visitors can visit and chat with at least 3 local authors at varying locations in Jensen Beach. Participating merchants include Too Social Butterflies, Stain In The Glass, Shabby Chic, Mulligan's and Zafka's Studios. Look for the sandwich board signs! Expect to see a wide variety of authors such as Peter Haase, Patrick Lennon (a Pulitzer Prize candidate), Daren Lamb, Donald Porter and more willing to visit, chat & sign their works! The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center is on a 56 acre site. There is a mile long loop trail that travels through the xeric hammocks, the hardwood hammocks, the mangrove marsh and takes you down to the shores of the Indian River Lagoon. Along the trail you will learn about the plants and animals that live on Hutchinson Island, the importance of the mangrove marsh, the Ays Indians that once lived on the Island and the wonderful Indian River Lagoon.
